Four Seasons in One Frame — Four individual glass panels, each depicting a tree through a different season, are presented together in a frame. The trees are hand-drawn in enamel paints, with branches and bark detail built up in fine black linework. Layers of frit (crushed glass) in pink and green, fresh lime, vivid red, and cool white capture the character of spring, summer, autumn and winter in turn. Coarser frit at the base of each panel suggests grassy ground or fallen snow. The fire-polished surface catches light across each panel differently, giving the set a quiet luminosity. A lovely piece for a living room, hallway or as a gift.
