Seven trees. Every season. One piece of glass.

The Turning Year brings together the full cycle of the seasons in a single fused glass panel. Seven trees stand side by side, each capturing a distinct moment as the year moves on. Bare winter branches give way to spring blossom, then the full canopy of summer green, the deep crimson and burnt amber of autumn, the stillness of a snow-laden tree, and finally a jewel-like celebration of colour that closes the year and begins it again.

Each tree is built up from hand-drawn grass, trunks and branches in enamel, then layered frit arranged on top and kiln-fired to a glossy finish. Run a finger across the surface and you feel every smooth bump of frit beneath it, each one catching the light in its own way as the panel shifts across the seasons.

The 400mm glass panel is presented in a purposefully wide grey wood frame with a generous white mount, a proportion designed specifically to let the full panorama breathe.

The individual seasonal trees are available separately as tea light holders, reed diffusers, and framed pieces, alone or as a set of four. The Turning Year is the piece that brings them all together.

Handmade at Silicon Pixel Glassworks, each piece is individually crafted, ensuring no two are ever the same.

As every item is handmade, small variations in colour and detail make your piece one of a kind and may differ slightly from the image shown.
