Three slender stems rise from the base of this piece, each topped with a cluster of blooms rendered in layered frit (crushed glass) in Sapphire Blue and Aquamarine Blue. The flower heads are built up using a mix of fine, medium and coarse grades, giving them a full, textured quality that catches the light beautifully. Delicate enamel paint lines define the stems and flower centres with quiet precision against the clear glass base. The fire-polished surface creates depth within the glass, with individual frit pieces glowing where light passes through. Mounted in a frame, this piece works well on a mantelpiece, shelf or desk.
