A cascading pattern of bubbles gives this tea light holder its distinctive character. Made from two layers of fused clear glass with copper carbonate powder sandwiched between them, the firing process transforms the powder into pools of blue while releasing small and medium oxygen bubbles, captured permanently within the glass. The result is a surface full of quiet movement and depth.
 
When a tea light is placed inside, the fire-polished glass glows from within, the bubbles catching and scattering the flame into points of dancing light.
The rounded corners and clear glass base give the piece a clean, tactile quality. A lovely addition to a windowsill, bathroom shelf, or dining table setting.
