A cluster of allium flower heads in a full rainbow spectrum of colour — green, yellow, orange, red, deep purple and sky blue — rendered in layered frit (crushed glass) built up over a clear glass base. The stems and flower centres are hand-drawn in enamel paints, giving each head a delicate, spidery structure that anchors the burst of colour above. The fire-polished surface catches light beautifully, making the individual glass granules glow and giving the piece real depth and luminosity. Scattered frit across the background adds a sense of movement, as though the flowers are caught in a breeze. Presented in a frame, this piece works well in a hallway, living room or kitchen.
