That particular moment in early spring when the daffodils are out beneath the bare trees, the yellow so vivid against the brown earth and the first green of the year. The Daffodil Wood captures it in fused glass: tree trunks and branching canopy in black, a vivid floor of yellow, amber and orange frit suggesting a carpet of daffodils beneath the trees.
 
The fused glass panel is fixed to the front of a clear glass diffuser bottle, six black reeds fanning upward from the top. As the oil draws slowly through the reeds and scent fills the room, the glass panel catches the light around it, throwing warm yellow reflections onto the surface nearby.
 
Near a window the piece glows, the yellow and amber frit warming with the light through the day. On a shelf or sideboard away from direct light it holds its colour quietly, a small piece of early spring brought indoors.
 
At 70mm wide, 100mm tall and 55mm deep, it sits neatly without taking over a surface. Supplied empty with six extra thick reeds, ready for your choice of diffuser oil.
