That first real warmth of spring, the daffodils out beneath the trees before the leaves have properly arrived. The Daffodil Wood captures that moment in fused glass: bare-branched trees with fresh green canopy in black, rising above a vivid floor of yellow, orange and green frit suggesting a carpet of daffodils catching the early season light.
 
Lit, the candle rises through the clear glass base and the yellow and amber frit glows from within, warm and bright. The two colours together, the fresh green above and the warm yellow below, have a quality that shifts as the light changes through the day.
 
At 70mm wide, 100mm tall and 50mm deep it sits comfortably on a windowsill, mantelpiece or kitchen shelf. Put it where it gets morning light and it will earn its place every day of spring.
