This coastal piece evokes the movement and light of the sea, with fluid wave forms built up through layers of sheet glass moving from a pale, foam-flecked shoreline into deeper water tones. The layered glass builds genuine depth, with light passing through and between each sheet to create an organic luminosity. During firing, small bubbles are captured within the layers, becoming a natural part of the finished surface. The fire-polished finish catches light beautifully, creating a sense of warmth and movement that shifts as you move around it. Mounted in a frame, it suits a bathroom, bedroom or coastal themed space well.
