A breaking ocean wave, captured in layered frit (crushed glass) on a clear glass base. Fine, medium and coarse grades of frit build the composition from the base up — pale, almost clear tones in the lower water give way to bright Aqua Blue and Turquoise Blue through the body of the wave, with Deep Cobalt Blue tracing the curve of the barrel and Opaque White frit forming the foaming crest. The fire-polished surface catches light beautifully, giving the wave a genuine sense of movement and depth. Mounted in a frame, it suits a bathroom, bedroom or coastal-themed living space equally well.
