A woodland scene stretching across a wide panoramic panel, this piece captures a row of characterful trees with deeply detailed trunks drawn in enamel paints, their bare black branches reaching upward into soft green canopies. The foreground meadow is alive with wildflowers rendered in frit (crushed glass), with coarse glass beads forming jewel-like flowerheads in warm reds, oranges and hints of turquoise rising on fine enamel stems. Layers of grass green and light green frit build a lush, textured ground that catches light across its surface. The fire-polished finish gives real luminosity to the piece, with depth visible through the layered glass.
