A woodland scene of slender trees rising through layers of frit (crushed glass), their bare dark branches drawn in enamel paints and reaching upward through fresh spring foliage. Deep blue frit pools beneath the trees, evoking a carpet of bluebells in full bloom. Built up by hand and kiln-fired, the coarse frit creates a richly textured surface where the glass beads and clusters, catching light and giving the scene real depth and movement. The glossy, fire-polished finish makes the colours glow, shifting subtly as the light changes. Mounted in a frame and presented against a white mount, this piece works beautifully in a hallway, bedroom or living space.
